World Aids Day 2005

AIDS does not discriminate. It is not a problem exclusive to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered community. AIDS is a pandemic, a global epidemic affecting all of humanity.

The World AIDS Campaign (WAC) has chosen the following as its theme from 2005 – 2010: “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.”

After two decades of AIDS, we know that with sufficient will and resources we can turn this epidemic around. Everyone has a role to play in fighting HIV and AIDS and as Kofi Annan, UN Secretary General, said at the UN General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS, "All of us must recognize AIDS as our problem. All of us must make it our priority."

Today, December 01, 2005, is World Aids Day. Please take a moment to remember those that we have lost to this pandemic. We have all been affected, one way or another. We have lost friends, family, partners, colleagues and heroes. Let's mourn their passing, but let's also celebrate their lives and the way that they have touched us.

Let's renew our commitment to turn this pandemic around. Let's be aware. Let
s educate ourselves and others. Let's volunteer. Let's donate our time and resources. Let's fight the pandemic. Let's win the battle!

Love ya. Kisses. Muahh.
